About Us
We do not expect that environmental sustainability should be led by business or government alone.  BPERC recognizes that true lifestyle changes start at home, with individuals, and BPERC hopes to guide them with environmental education and green options.

Envisioning a Green Future on the Peninsula

The Burin Peninsula Environmental Reform Committee Inc. (BPERC) fills the need for an official committee to work together with businesses, government, citizens and other stakeholder groups to focus on changes toward environmental sustainability through environmental education and action.

The primary focus of BPERC is to provide communities on the peninsula with education and information about local environmental issues and to provide them with connections to organizations so that they may work to find solutions.

This will ensure that government, private businesses, non-governmental organizations and the public have the information and knowledge they need to understand the importance of environmental protection, preservation and repair.  In addition to providing information, BPERC also works to help provide individuals, government and private businesses with the information needed to create green strategies and encourage investment in ecologically friendly solutions.
