Global circumstances are requiring us to change our behavior, to make new arrangements for everyday life in all the major areas: finances and employment; food production; business; habitation; transport; education; and health care.  These changes need to be made locally and today's youth are the people who have the fresh ideas needed to help create these changes.

Eco-Youth Network

BPERC works to involve youth who are passionate about the environment to take an active leadership role in sustainable improvements and activities on the Burin Peninsula.
"We support all youth and work collectively to create positive change in the region."

Eco-Youth Network Holding its First Meeting in November 2009!

BPERC invites youth on the Burin Peninsula to our Eco-Youth Network opening event!  On Saturday November 21st at 1:00 P.M.  we will be planting native  shrubs and trees and discussing this exciting new group.  The planting will be at the Community Garden site near the softball fields in Burin - weather permitting.   BPERC will supply all of the gloves, shovels and the plants. We will also supply ice water so all you need to bring is a re-usable water bottle.  Choose clothes you don't mind getting a bit dirty, or even snowy! Come take part and help keep the region clean and green!
Great prizes to be won!
