The Burin Peninsula Environmental Reform Committee cleans parks, trails, beaches, riverbeds, and shorelines every month throughout the Spring, Summer, and Fall seasons (April-October). Click the Burin Peninsula Green Communities Map below to see future sites. Let your voices be heard now. Inform BPERC of your local dumping and littering concerns and gauge the amount of trash polluting your community. Do your part, sign-up or suggest a site on the Burin Peninsula and help the BPERC find spots in need of a clean up. The map locations with a marker indicate planned clean up sites. Click the marker for full details.
"The BPERC attends and coordinates community cleanups on the Burin Peninsula whenever possible. It is the committee's strong belief that making and keeping an area clean inspires citizens to take pride in their environment and directly reduces the amount of waste and litter throughout the region".
-MMSB 2011 Green Community Cleanups2011 Green Community Cleanups View Larger Map Volunteers of all ages have been combing the region for debris since incorporation in Spring 2008 and there is still lots of toxic trash to be removed. The debris fouls the land and water and endangers plant, animal and aquatic wildlife. We are looking for families, students, individuals and organizations to come out and support the effort to help make The Burin Peninsula clean and beautiful. |
